ULAN works with marginalized communities such as farmers and fisherfolk from all over the country who face lawsuits from protecting their right to a healthy and balanced ecology.
ULAN has been championing indigenous peoples’ rights since its inception. It handles cases involving violations of their free and prior informed consent (FPIC) and capacitates indigenous communities in order to maximize their role as mandatory members of various policymaking bodies.
ULAN began working with Persons with Disabilities in 2012 as part of its inclusive elections advocacy. Since then, it has amended its Articles of Incorporation to include this important sector in its programs and actions.
